When it arrived in a box the size of a suitcase I was concerned that I had gotten the wrong toner cartridge. But, no, it was correct. It slipped right into my Brother lazer printer and started up where the original cartridge left off. Great printouts. I’d do it again. And I took the empty one to Staples and got $3.

Many other brands of laser printers use toner cartridges that include the fuser drum assembly. Since the drums in those cartridges are usually perfectly good after the toner has been exhausted, I’ve always felt that it was terribly wasteful to throw away the entire assembly.
To Brother’s credit they have designed many of their printers, so that the drum and toner are separate units. Not only is this a less wasteful design, in my opinion, it also makes it less costly to replace the toner. Although the Brother brand toner cartridges for my printer and my FAX machine (both use the same) are not overly expensive, I have found that these cartridges perform just as well for about half the price.
My toner cartridges from this vendor were individually packed in protective bubble sheaths, were delivered promptly and arrived undamaged. Thus far, I see no reason to pay more.

The low price and previous reviews led me to buy this product. But any saving is not worth the troubles I encountered.
First of all, this cartridge does not include the drum needed. I did not even think of that because I had been using an HP printer and all I needed to do was to insert a new cartridge to replace the old one, no more extra work. For this one, I had to detach the old drum from the existing cartridge and attached it to this one. I did not know that. (Granted, very easy to do if you know how.)
And worse, a lot of carbon particles in this one came out from one end, messing up my printer. I ended up spending much time and trouble to clean it up. After that, the printout paper still has a little black streak from the leaked carbon.
